Dedicated to my wife.
The house is roughly 200 square meters. The fountain and pond in front have bushes and flowers, but the retaining wall is a bit high. The backyard doesn't have a fence yet but it will.
The dark wood floors are part of the foyer and the main hallway.
To the right of foyer is the Study, with orange carpets (obviously we'll change those colors and the wall colors). The study will have a desktop computer at a large desk that can also function as a writing desk or we can have two desks. The walls will be lined with books and we can close it off so it becomes a private place for when someone wants alone time. It doesn't have to be solitude though as we can include recliners, a love seat for multiple people.
After the study is the hallway to the laundry room. Not a big room, but big enough for a washer and dryer and a place to hang some clothes. The laundry room leads to the garage which is big enough for two cars, or we can use one side for storage and park the second car in the driveway. It can be my car. If you decide you want to drive but America is a place where most people drive. Can you drive? I don't even know! Oh god, I'm just realizing this.
After the laundry room is the kitchen. It's a big kitchen and we can put in a double oven on the wall to the right. We should have an invection stove too. They use magnetism to heat the food so you can put your hand on the burner and it won't get hot but when you put a metal pot on, it'll heat up. But don't put your hand on the burner if you're wearing a ring... The sink and counter section will go along the windowed wall so we have a nice view of the backyard as we prepare dinner or wash dishes. We can turn that wall connected to the laundry room into a pantry (which might be more organized) or we can have cabinets full of food along the walls. Obviously we'll have cabinets anyway, but it's up to you how many we want. We can put in a small table if you'd like too.
Connected to the kitchen is the dining room. It'll have a cabinet for nice china and such. There'll be a large table for big gatherings like thanksgiving which is the third Thursday of November. We don't have to have large gatherings though.
After the dining room is the green carpeted family room. It'll have more books in that nook or maybe a fireplace. It'll be a quiet room where we can relax together on a sofa or chairs. I'd say no TV though because it's a quiet room. It seems to make sense that the room next to the dining room is a quiet one. It's connected to the backyard where we have a small pool with a brick patio and a dark wood deck.
Out the family room is the hallway which leads to the coat closet, which we could make smaller and turn into a pantry instead since it's kind of big for just coats. Next to the closet is the half-bath with a toilet and a sink and I don't know, a disco ball?
At the other end of the hall is the master bedroom but we'll get there in a second. On the other side, with the yellow carpet, is the TV room. I figure the TV will go on the wall adjacent to our bedroom in case someone is watching TV and we're in the other room doing something intimate, they won't hear us. And we'll put in plenty of seating. We could split it into two rooms and make one a bedroom since we only have one bedroom at this point. We could turn both into bedrooms and make the family room a TV room or the study a TV room. Or the study could become a bedroom. Or we could have a second floor. If we turn the TV room into two rooms, the one nearest our bedroom should still be a TV room with the farther room as a bedroom. Having two bedrooms next to each other could be weird if one is our kid's room, especially when he or she starts growing up.
The room with the pink floor is the master bedroom. It's sort of shaped like a heart, which I didn't intend. We have a lot of room but I like a lot of room in a bedroom. I don't like the cluttered feeling. But our bed can be smaller, cozy, if you want. I like a smaller bed if I'm sharing it with you. We'll have a dresser drawers for shorts and socks and underwear and maybe some chairs in case we don't want to sit on the bed. Do you want a TV? We can have a TV. And more books. Let's add more books to our bedroom.
Then there's the master bathroom. It's got tile floors and we can include a bath big enough for two and a shower for when we just want a quick wash or it can be big enough for two too. There will be his and her sinks too and a mirror.
The last room is our walk-in closet. There are two sides to it. The shallow side will be mine since I don't have many clothes and the deeper area is for you. You'll have beautiful dresses and skirts and blouses and pants and shorts, but those can go in the dresser if you want. And your shoes can go in there or they can go in the coat closet. And we can hide birthday presents in our closet and all sorts of other things.
So that's our house. It doesn't have to be our house. We can redesign it. Add things, take them away, expand, whatever. Whatever you want. I want to live in a house with you. That's all I need for a home. I love you.
