Spotlight

Mondays are teachers meetings, and I had a break before because Director Lee didn't want to do his class, so I was the first in there. And Scary-teacher is more administrator than teacher so she only has a few classes through the day and she was free the same time as me so she was also one of the first in there for the teachers meeting. So she made some polite small talk.

"Tired, Harrison? What did you do this weekend?"

And I jumped at the chance to brag about boxing with the K. Hulk. She was hugely surprised and I had her attention and Pretty-teacher's attention and I could make jokes or tell whatever tale I wanted. But instead, I quickly diverted attention as Australia walked in and said, "He did it too." 

As quickly as I wanted that spotlight, I wanted it gone.
